After more than 15 years in the Redditch Industrial Area, Starr Tattoo Supplies is proud to officially begin a brand-new chapter in our new custom-built headquarters on Arden Way, Alcester.
This move is far more than a change of address. It represents years of growth, hard work, loyalty from artists across the UK and Europe, and our continued commitment to pushing tattooing forward while staying true to what made Starr what it is today.
From humble beginnings to becoming the UK’s biggest independent tattoo supply company, Starr has always been built around one thing: putting artists first.
Over the last 15 years, we’ve grown steadily through persistence, consistency, and supplying high-quality products and service to tattoo artists and studio owners nationwide. What started as a smaller operation in Redditch evolved into a thriving business with expanding warehouse, sales, and marketing teams, stronger partnerships, and a growing presence throughout the tattoo industry.
One of the biggest parts of our journey has been our relationship with tattoo conventions. For years, Starr has travelled up and down the country supporting events, artists, and the wider tattoo community. Over time, we became such a recognised and trusted presence that convention organisers began inviting us directly rather than us applying to attend — something we’ll never take for granted.
Alongside that growth came a huge expansion in our online presence. Over the last eight years especially, Starr has massively increased its social media reach, connecting with artists in new ways and building a brand that reflects the creativity and personality of the tattoo industry itself. We’ve continued evolving too, regularly refreshing and redeveloping our websites to improve the customer experience and keep the brand moving forward — most recently with the launch of our brand-new Shopify store just two months ago.
Another major milestone in Starr’s growth has been our role as a distributor across the UK and Europe. We’re proud to work with and exclusively distribute respected brands including Ghost Cartridges, Electrum Ink, Empire Ink, Tattoo Armour, Coolsoothe, and more. These partnerships have helped us strengthen our reputation not only as a retailer, but as a trusted name within the wider tattoo supply industry.
But while the company has grown, one thing has remained the same: Starr has always aimed to stay fun, approachable, and artist-focused. That mindset isn’t changing anytime soon.
Our new 15,000 sq-ft purpose-built building has been designed from the ground up to help us continue growing while creating more opportunities for artists and the tattoo community as a whole.
One of the most exciting additions is our new click-and-collect service, working hand-in-hand with the recently launched Shopify store to make ordering easier and faster than ever for local artists and studios.
The new building also includes a fully licensed tattoo studio, giving artists a space to guest spot, collaborate, create content, and film projects in a professional environment. We wanted the new HQ to be more than just a warehouse — we wanted it to be a creative hub for the industry.
That creative focus continues with the dedicated podcast room for the next chapter of Inkcast. We’re excited to refresh the podcast, bring in more guests, share more stories from the tattoo world, and continue building conversations around the industry we love.
This move is a huge milestone for everyone involved with Starr Tattoo Supplies, but it’s also only the beginning of the next era.
To every artist, studio owner, convention organiser, brand partner, and customer who has supported us over the years — thank you. Your support helped build Starr into what it is today, and we’re incredibly excited for what comes next.
The new building represents growth, ambition, and the future of Starr Tattoo Supplies — but the heart of the company remains the same.
Artists first. Always.
